British Asian Society (BAS) at the University of York is proud to be fundraising for Muslim Hands this Ramadan. Muslim Hands is an international Non-governmental organization working in over forty countries worldwide to help those affected by natural disasters, conflict and poverty.
The act of fasting allows Muslims to understand the pain and suffering of millions around the world who live their lives in poverty and famine, leaving them feeling more grounded and grateful. Muslims are reminded to be generous and increase their charitable activities during Ramadan.
The Covid-19 situation has exacerbated poverty and scarcity across the world. With depleted state resources and a lack of access to basic food and water, sanitation and shelter, charities like Muslim Hands are especially important at a time like this.
Please join BAS in showing solidarity with people suffering across the world right now during this blessed month. Every donation will make a difference and lead to the betterment of communities and individuals. Your money will be donated to Muslim Hands under their โGreatest Needโ section where they will allocate the funds wherever they are most needed.
