We plan regular adventurous activities throughout the year, as well as provide links to the local Scout Network Group, and local Scout and Guide Groups in York. Whether you started at 4 or want to start now, this society

welcomes all people enthusiastic enough to be a Scout or Guide.

Unfortunately, due to lack of interest last academic year, the decision was made by the committee of 2016/17 to disband York St John SSAGO. This was not an easy decision to make.

Anybody joining YSJ next week and wishes to continue or begin their Scouting or Guiding journey in York is more then welcome to email Tom, the former chair at [email protected] and he will do his best to help.

All that remains is to thank previous committees, members, and the YSJ SU Team for their support over the past few years.

As mentioned last night, our next meeting will be planning our charity event. We'll meet on Thursday at 7 in the first floor of Fountains Learning Centre. Please can all members think of a charity they would like to raise money for and we'll vote on that on Thursday :)

We're having a casual meeting in the downstairs bar of the SU on Thursday 9th February at 7pm. This is so we can discuss the rest of term, including some exciting news of a joint social with SAGGY (Uni of York's Scout and Guide Society)
