Your everyday shopping trips have made a big difference to local charities in York. πŸ›’

Purchases made at our on-campus retail stores have helped raise over Β£17,000 for charities across the city.

The Making a Difference Locally scheme run by Nisa means every time you buy selected products in store, including Co-op own-brand and Nisa Heritage items, a contribution goes towards local good causes.

In the past four months alone, teams at Market Square Store and Nisa Kimberlow have raised and donated over Β£2,000 to The Hygiene Bank, MySight York, IDAS and Treasure Chest.

Thank you to every student, staff member and visitor for helping us to make a difference locally and support the important work of local charities.

Today is Global Accessibility Awareness Day, but we got ahead of the curve last week with our first University Accessibility Awareness Day.

Students and staff came together to engage with over 20 different activities and events, including workshops on sighted guiding, British Sign Language and wheelchair skills.

The day was an opportunity to highlight the importance of accessibility inclusion across campus and spark conversations about some of the work already underway.

Swipe to see more from last week’s sessions.
