都會大學人文社會科學院副院長（教與學）陳家愉認為「AI將完全取代繙譯」是公眾普遍存在的誤解，笑言早於十多年前Google繙譯出現時已有類似討論。她指，公眾誤解繙譯是「知道意思就好」層面，但專業繙譯價值在於人類獨有的文化理解、語氣拿捏及思考，在處理文化底蘊、弦外之音、語氣情感及複雜典故上，人類繙譯有不可取代的優勢。她指，一個中上水平的繙譯者普遍能超越字面的準確性，深入處理文化層面的意義，「繙譯你唔係淨係知個字，你係要知背後個文化。」
以她善長的粵劇繙譯為例，AI在處理經典、文言文及廣東話口語上常出錯，亦難以理解平仄、押韻等格律。另對字詞背後的典故、諺語、歇後語，乃至中文常省略主語的表達方式，均難以理解其真正意涵，故用AI繙譯後，需大量人工修改，後期編輯演變為日益重要的技能。

Jointly edited by Dr Kelly Kar Yue Chan 🧑‍🎓 and Dr Chi Sum Garfield Lau 🧑‍🎓, this book investigates the origins and evolutions of gender benchmarking in Asian literature. It explores how various agents such as ritualistic practices 🙏🎎, family expectations 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦, cultural orientations 🌸🌏, and even dogmatic factors ⚖️ contribute to shaping gender representations in Asian literature and its adaptations.

2025年9月，周耀輝教授加入香港都會大學人文、語言與翻譯學系，開設「中文歌詞創作」通識科目。首屆歌詞班的同學們學有所成，於3月20日(上周五)在都大雅居樂體育館舉行的畢業作品演唱會上，跟大家分享他們的學習成果。當晚，同學們以《我們還有幾多時間》為主題，透過十九首原創廣東歌詞，把香港不同人物的動人故事娓娓道來，讓現場逾300位觀眾思考時間的意義與價值。活動亦邀請到陳健安（安仔）和雲浩影 （Cloud）擔任演出嘉賓。

值得一提的是，縱使秋季課堂已經完結，歌詞功課早已提交，同學們仍全情投入，不僅精心打磨歌詞，務求更真實、更好地呈現受訪者的故事，更一手包辦了主題策劃、活動推廣、演出舞台燈光等大小事務，展現寶貴的熱情與責任感。學系亦衷心感謝耀輝的無私教導和「周耀輝歌詞班」師兄師姐們的支持。
