I am Jacky To, the proposed President of Veritas, The Proposed Cabinet No.1 of the Executive Committee of the 34th Law Students’ Society, City University of Hong Kong Students’ Union. I promise to fulfil my responsibilities as this society’s President to handle not only internal but also external affairs of the society. I am Adrian Chan, the proposed Internal Vice-President of Veritas, The Proposed Cabinet No.1 of the Executive Committee of the 34th Law Students’ Society, City University of Hong Kong Students’ Union. As the Internal Vice-President, I shall bear the responsibilities to handle both practical and relational affairs within the cabinet. ✧ 𝐋𝐨𝐠𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐬 ✧

Our logo design is formed with three main elements: Our cabinet's name, a balance and a law book. Everything that we learn, act and prepare for, is based on the knowledge we gained from the law book. The balance, symbolizing just, placed on the law book, is built in a V-shape pillar from the "V" of Veritas , carving Etz haChayim, the Tree of Cabala. The shining star on the balance carries our faith for being the light in dark and lead our members to reach for the truth.

我們的徽標由三樣元素組成： 我們候選內閣的名字、天秤以及一本法律書籍。 我們所學的、一作一為、一言一行、為未來所作的一切準備，皆是建立在法律書籍所授予的知識之上；書的上方是代表公正的天秤，使用了Veritas中的「V」，並加上卡巴拉之樹的雕刻作為主幹。在那之上的則是一顆閃耀的星星，示意著我們Veritas期盼能成為那照亮黑暗的亮光，帶領大家前行，尋找真理。

Veritas, The Proposed Cabinet No.1 of the Executive Committee of the 34th Law Students’ Society, City University of Hong Kong Students’ Union

We named ourselves "Veritas", which is the Latin concept of justice, equality, conformity, symmetry, and fairness. Our aim is to act as a guide to righteousness. It is our hope that Veritas would brighten the university lives among all members of the law society through activities, joint schools programmes and law-related events with the motto of generating equality among our members.
