🎨Monthly Virtual Creative Workshops🎨
Upcycle a shirt Workshop

Date: Wednesday 3 May 2022
Time: 10:00 UK Time/ 17:00 HK time
Tutor: Sarah Charles

To upcycle means taking something old, worn out or damaged and transforming it into something new or of higher value. In this workshop students will use an old shirt to create a ‘work of art’ and produce eccentric shapes and volume using simple effective pattern cutting techniques.

Materials you will need for this workshop: Two old /used large men’s shirts OR one shirt and one T shirt will be cut up. One fitted long sleeve top (won’t be damaged) paint , pens, paper to draw design ideas. Large sheet of paper, pins, sewing needle and thread.

AUB國際團隊與藝術創意導師在2022年於每月首週三舉辦一系列線上藝術創意工作坊，線上工作坊包括導師指導以及學生藝術實踐，從而激發學生的創意靈感和提升藝術水平。學生在課堂上更有機會提出相關問題，邀請導師對藝術作品進行反饋。

4月6日香港時間晚上5點由AUB客座教授Xavier Pick主持的The Secrets of Imagination 免費對外開放，歡迎大家的參加！

Our international team and creative tutors will be hosting a series of virtual creative workshops in 2022. These interactive and engaging sessions will include practical workshops and art demonstrations to inspire you, as well as a chance to ask questions or gain feedback on your artwork. Open to all, they are aimed at students, educators and anyone with an interest in developing their creative skills.

The Secrets of Imagination, hosted by AUB professor Xavier Pick at 5pm Hong Kong time on April 6th, is free and open to the public!

Dr. Emma博士擁有超過20年組織創意工作坊和運營參與性藝術項目的經驗。她的研究探討了協同共創和繪圖工作坊作為研究工具的影響和價值，致力於將理論與實踐整合到創客文化中。在此之前，Dr. Emma博士與當代藝術家Lucy Orta一起工作，擔任巴黎主要潮流機構的紡織品設計師和創作人。
