【廣告設計學生榮獲香港廣告商會學生大獎2025】
PolyU HKCC 設計學副學士（廣告設計）課程的優秀學生團隊，在香港廣告商會舉辦的「香港廣告商會學生大獎2025」中榮獲銅獎。
今年比賽以「建立旺角文化」為主題，由陳樂兒、王霺琪及吳海盈三位同學組成的隊伍憑作品「每個人都需要MK一下!」，顛覆公眾對「MK風格」的負面印象，並重新詮釋為香港獨特的文化符號，最終贏得評審肯定。
PolyU HKCC團隊是本屆賽事中唯一來自副學位及自資院校界別的得獎者，佳績實在可喜可賀!

【Advertising Design Students Win HK4As Students’ Award 2025】
A team of outstanding students from PolyU HKCC’s Associate in Design (Advertising Design) programme has won Bronze Award at the HK4As Students’ Award 2025 organised by The Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies of Hong Kong.
Competing under the theme “Establishing MK as a Culture”, Chan Lok-yi, Wong Mei-ki and Ng Hoi-ying impressed the judges with their entry “Everyone Needs an MK Moment!” . Their work challenges the public’s negative perception of MK style and reinterprets it as a unique cultural symbol of Hong Kong.
Congratulations to the PolyU HKCC team on being the only winner from the sub-degree and self-financed institution sectors to receive recognition in this year’s competition.

恭賀 設計學副學士（廣告設計）學生周芷淇，於第44屆香港電影金像獎學生海報設計比賽中榮獲亞軍。

【Advertising Design Student Wins First Runner-up in The 44th Hong Kong Film Awards Student Poster Competition】
Congratulations to Chau Tsz-ki, a student from PolyU HKCC’s Associate in Design (Advertising Design), on achieving first runner-up in The 44th Hong Kong Film Awards Student Poster Design Competition.
The competition invited students to create original poster designs inspired by the spirit and vision of this year’s Hong Kong Film Awards. Tsz-ki’s award-winning entry, developed as part of her coursework, demonstrates not only her creativity and technical expertise but also her remarkable ability to transform abstract ideas into powerful visual imagery.

【🎡 PolyU CPCE Carnival — Your Journey, Our Guidance】
The PolyU CPCE Carnival will be held on 22 and 23 January 2026 (Thu & Fri). All students and staff are welcome — no registration required and completely free of charge!
The Spring Carnival features four interesting games:

【研究表現卓越 —輔助機械人推動居家安老】
推動「居家安老」面對多重挑戰，包括輔助設備不足、人力短缺、資源匱乏、生態系統分散，以及長者擔心成為他人負擔等問題。長者輔助機械人被視為具潛力的解決方案，相關技術主要分為兩大類：一是生活輔助機械人，協助日常起居活動；二是社交輔助機械人，提供陪伴支援。
由 PolyU CPCE社會科學、人文及設計學部首席講師李穎博士領導，並獲研究資助局2025/26年度「本地自資學位界別競逐研究資助計劃」轄下「跨院校發展計劃」資助的「共建輔助機械人設計推動居家安老」項目，將舉辦為期兩天的混合模式會議，探討「居家安老」輔助機械人的最新發展趨勢，內容涵蓋專題演講、論文發表，以及會後工作坊，旨在促進協作研究與實踐經驗的整合。
來自加拿大、大中華地區、荷蘭、瑞典及英國的頂尖專家將分享研究成果與實務經驗，促進學者、研究人員、業界人士、長者、照顧者及學生之間深入交流。會議目標在於提升學術界的研究能力，而實踐層面亦將因應最新研究進展而有所提升。

【Excellence in Research: Assistive Robots to Facilitate Aging in Place】

The challenges associated with aging in place (AIP) include limited access to assistive equipment, manpower shortages, insufficient resources, a fragmented AIP ecosystem, and concerns about becoming a burden to others. One promising solution to address these issues is the use of assistive robots for older adults. These technologies fall into two main types: physically assistive robots that help with daily living activities, and socially assistive robots that provide companionship.

Led by Dr Stephanie Lee, Principal Lecturer of the Division of Social Sciences, Humanities and Design of PolyU CPCE, and funded by the Research Grants Council’s Inter-Institutional Development Scheme under the Competitive Research Funding Schemes for the Local Self-financing Degree Sector 2025/26, the initiative “Co-Creating Assistive Robot Design to Facilitate Aging in Place” will host a two-day hybrid conference to explore recent trends in assistive robots for AIP, featuring talks, contributed papers, and post-conference workshops to consolidate knowledge and skills in co-creation research and practice.

Renowned experts from Canada, Greater China, the Netherlands, Sweden, and the UK will share insights and experiences, fostering knowledge exchange among academics, researchers, practitioners, older adults, caregivers and students. The conference aims to build research capacity and enhance practice through latest research advances.
