You are cordially invited to attend the writing workshop, **Achieving Excellence in Academic Writing - Guide for Undergraduate Students**, collaboratively offered by Mercury-HKU Journal of Undergraduate Humanities and the HKU Libraries.

This joint workshop, organized by Mercury-HKU Journal of Undergraduate Humanities and the HKU Libraries, aims to provide undergraduate students with basic guidelines for academic writing. The workshop will introduce advanced but essential elements for high-quality student essays. It will also address criteria for a well-written essay and students' common problems. There will be a short practice session at the end of the seminar.

Speakers: Mr Sam COLE, Centre for Applied English Studies; Mr Matthew Foreman, Associate Editor of Mercury
