[救援在野] 無國界醫生嘅年度籌款活動救援在野，琴日因為雷暴警告宣布取消。雖然天氣不似預期，但一班BUGS 環保義工都留守幫忙善後，協助大會同工作人員進行垃圾同廚餘分類♻️！一班BUGS義工仲貫徹大會嘅環保主題，自攜餐具食lunch添！🍱🍴

[On Track to Save] The annual fundraising event of MSF was cancelled due to thunderstorm warning yesterday. Despite the unfortunate circumstances, our BUGS member stayed to help with the waste recycling process after the event. We brought reusable cutlery for lunch to echo with the event theme of environmental protection! ♻️🍱🍴

係啱啱過去嘅星期六，一行30位BUGS 義工一齊守護米埔自然保護區！我哋用咗一個朝早，協助清除米埔嘅植物殺手薇金菊⚔️

原來呢隻惡名昭彰嘅攀爬植物，生長速度極快，足以覆蓋大量植物，令佢哋冇辦法進行光合作用而枯死。由於米埔自然保護區唔能夠使用化學除草劑，所以清除薇金菊嘅重任就要交俾我哋啦！

天氣涼涼地，最啱去郊遊～
係11月4日星期六，BUGS義工們都變身成公民生物學家，去左大潭進行生態速查，紀錄沿途見到的雀仔蟲仔種類及數量。
沿住大潭水塘行左一段路，短短一個鐘已經發現左１５種雀鳥同１６種昆蟲！
真係唔好以為香港只係石屎森林，其實呢到的生物多樣性都好高架！
之後我地仲可以近距離認識淺水區域會出現嘅蟲蟲，如果平時有幸見到呢Ｄ對污染物特別敏感嘅蟲蟲，就證明水質好好啦！我地又有機會試下係昆蟲身上抽取DNA進行研究，好似上左一堂生物課咁呀！

You may not know but being one of the most highly urbanised and densely populated cities in the world, Hong Kong is actually rich in biodiversity. The place we call home is also a home to many fauna and flora. 60% of the city is covered by natural terrain, which supports myriad of terrestrial and marine habitats and niches.
Last Saturday, BUGS members had a field trip at the Tai Tam Reservoir and conducted a survey on the species diversity and species abundance of birds and insects. Just within an hour, our members were able to identify 15 bird species and 16 insect species. A mini Biology lab session was offered to them and they ran DNA tests on the sampled insect species. Rare insect species that could only be found in unpolluted/less polluted water were found in the area.

[梘全部都係梘] 星期六一行40個BUGS 義工去再皂福參與番梘處理同回收，我地有啲將番梘分類，有啲去除表面污積，有啲清洗樽裝洗頭水同沐浴露，有啲負責pack箱...... 我地努力左咁耐，處理左700支洗頭水同沐浴露，同70kg 嘅番梘，就係為左拯救啲由酒店收集返黎，用左一兩次就唔用嘅番梘，同埋拯救啲係瘧疾、肺炎邊緣嘅小朋友，等佢地可以勤用番梘洗手，遠離致命疾病！呢啲番梘夠200個小朋友用一年架！👶🏻👦🏻👧🏻

40 BUGS members saved 200 lives on Saturday by volunteering with Soap Cycling. They sorted and cleaned 700 bottles of used shampoo, conditioner and lotion collected from hotels; which were then redistributed to local refugees. They also participated in soap carving workshop, in which the surfaces of used soap bars were scrapped off. A total of 70kg of soap bars were retrieved, it was enough for 200 children living in developing countries for a year. Children are kept away from pneumonia and diarrhea with improved personal hygiene.

【機會又黎啦！儲時數換迪迪尼飛，最後衝刺！ 】

香港浸會大學的年度大型綠色生活推廣活動－「狂素綠色市集」將於本年三月二十六日載譽歸來，與合辦機構Green Monday攜手於校內外共同推廣綠色生活及健康飲食。當日的精彩活動包括: 素食餐廳試食，綠色產品銷售平台，包括：食品、護膚用品、農產品、雜貨等， 一系列環保工作坊、互動攤位遊戲及娛樂活動。為協助活動順利進行，現誠邀各位BUGS隊員於活動當日成為義工！.

日期: 2017年3月26日(星期日)
時間: 請選擇連結中所列服務時段
地點: 香港浸會大學李作權大道，教學及行政大樓3樓平台浸大綠地帶
活動對象: 公眾人士、九龍城區市民、浸大社群
服務內容: 協助活動當天埸地佈置、人流控制、大會攤位管理、攤位遊戲的運作及運送物資
膳食安排: 大會將提供膳食予參與 超過一節 的義工
義工名額: 每個服務時段30 個 (先到先得)

[在再皂福再造福] 上星期六一班BUGS義工到訪再皂福(Soap Cycling), 親身參與再皂福香港廠房既工作，幫忙將係酒店收集返黎，未完全消耗或者獲捐獻既番梘進行分類、消毒同再造工作。我地一班義工起勢咁刨，一共處理左30KG既番梘，足夠俾60個住係東南亞國家既小朋友用一年呀，真係好有意義！

去親住酒店，洗手盤旁邊都有舊番梘。會用番梘嘰你，有無諗過用剩果舊番梘會去左邊？想知多Ｄ，參加我地11月12日(六)去Soap Cycling嘅活動就清楚晒啦!

Bar soaps are usually provided in hotels. If you are the one who will use the soap, have you ever thought of how the hotel will treat the remaining part of the soap? Join our Soap Cycling service on 12 Nov (Sat) to know more about that!
