The Hong Kong-Macau Junior Accounting Faculty Conference 2025 was successfully held at Hong Kong Baptist University on 20 September 2025. This event brought together distinguished junior faculty from leading universities in Hong Kong and Macau, including CityU, CUHK, HSUHK, HKBU, HKUST, HKU, LU, PolyU, and UM, fostering scholarly exchange on topics ranging from disclosure to financial technology and sustainability.

The conference featured an authoritative keynote address by Prof. Jeffrey NG from HKU, who shared valuable insights on writing GRF/ECS grant applications. His presentation set an inspiring tone and provided practical guidance to support emerging researchers in their grant-seeking endeavors.

A new adventure begins! On August 29, our MSc in Applied Economics and MSc in Data Analytics and Business Economics students gathered for orientation—meeting classmates, connecting with Programme Directors and alumni, and exploring campus life. This year’s orientation featured interactive ice-breaking activities, inspiring alumni sharing, and an engaging campus tour—helping everyone connect and settle into our HKBU family.

We are excited for the journey ahead at the Department of AEF, where creativity and innovation flourish. Wishing our new students a meaningful and fruitful year of growth and discovery!
