🎉Congratulations to our underwater robotics team for securing 2nd Runner-Up at the MATE ROV Hong Kong Regional Competition! 🏆
After months of designing, building, and testing, the team successfully navigated complex marine scenarios during the event at IVE (Tsing Yi) on April 25–26.
Well done to everyone involved for their hard work and technical excellence!

Last Saturday, the EEC team took our latest underwater robotics prototypes to the pool for a critical test run. 🏊‍♂️🔧

Testing in the real world (and underwater!) is where the magic—and the real engineering challenges—happen. The test is more than just practice; it’s a key part of our prep for the major international competition: MATE. 🏆🌍

Throwback to our January visit to UBTECH 🤖

On Jan 9, EEC members toured the UBTECH experience hall to explore the latest in humanoid and service robotics—from portable intelligent robots to industrial humanoids and smart cleaning systems.
Live demos, including autonomous battery swaps and interactive robot performances, gave us a closer look at how advanced engineering turns into real-world products.
We wrapped up with a Q&A with a UBTECH engineer, sparking ideas at the intersection of tech innovation and entrepreneurship.

今年一月，EEC 成員參觀了 UBTECH 體驗館，近距離了解最新的人形與服務型機械人——從便攜式智能機械人，到工業人形機械人與智慧清潔系統。

現場示範包含機械人自動更換電池與互動表演，讓我們看到尖端工程如何轉化為實際產品。

最後與 UBTECH 工程師的交流，更激發了大家在技術創新與創業之間的各種想法。

🌊 Our annual Mini-ROV Competition was a tidal wave of innovation! 74 of our newest members formed 13 teams and put their engineering skills to the test in a series of underwater challenges. ⚡
A massive congratulations to our brilliant winners who designed, built, and piloted their way to the top:
🥇 CHAMPION: TEAM 4
Awarded $500 per member.
🥈 1ST RUNNER-UP: TEAM 7
Awarded $300 per member.
🥉 2ND RUNNER-UP: TEAM 10
Awarded $150 per member.
