💬 Max said, “I feel very happy and fortunate to receive the Winner Prize in the inaugural Academy Concerto Competition. As a first-year student at HKAPA, simply reaching the final and performing with Maestro Yip Wing-sie and the Academy Symphony Orchestra was already an invaluable experience. I am deeply grateful to the jury panel, my teachers, Professor Gabriel Kwok and Mr Yury Shadrin, and Maestro Yip for their guidance and support. I am also sincerely grateful to my fellow orchestra members for their outstanding musicianship and inspiring collaboration. Sharing the stage with the other four outstanding finalists further encouraged me to become more engaged in the competition. I look forward to the next opportunity to perform and share my music with Hong Kong audiences.”
The Audience Prize, determined through a combination of live audience and Academy Symphony Orchestra voting, was awarded to violinist Anson Leung Man-him. 💬 Anson said, “I am incredibly honoured to receive the Audience Prize tonight. First and foremost, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all audience members and fellow orchestra players who voted for me. Last but not least, a huge thank you to my parents and friends for their unwavering support throughout this journey. I feel extremely grateful and lucky to be able to share what I love with all of you.”
