文化又點至得藝術展覽同埋表演咁簡單，有好多嘢都係同文化有關㗎！而食物呢啲日常一定要有嘅嘢都係關事㗎，今次就同大家介紹下葵芳廠商會美食嘉年華啦～

呢個嘉年華入面總共有 60個熟食攤位，唔單只有地道嘅小食，仲有其他國家嘅美食可以食添㗎:3 例如台灣大腸麵線、港式片皮鴨～

大家除咗可以嘗盡唔同地方嘅美食，仲可以見到其他因為想試唔同國家嘅食物而嚟嘅人～入場費只係 $5咋！趁得閒就不妨去試下啦！！

一年一度嘅Clockenflap 又嚟啦！今年Clockenflap 會喺 9/11-11/11 舉行，每年大會都會邀請來自香港同埋其他海外嘅音樂藝人嚟表演，今年嘅音樂陣容同以往幾年一樣咁令人期待，有紐約傳奇Post-Punk大團INTERPOL、美國R&B新人王KHALID、前Talking Heads主音，音樂文化界巨匠DAVID BYRNE及台灣唱作女神安溥等等～大家可以趁完咗mid-term 同朋友仔去睇下，一齊去體驗呢個音樂同文化 藝術盛會啦！

︳Cultural Reflection ︳

When it comes to “culture”, we often think of visual and performing arts. How about culinary culture? It is often neglected but it indeed plays a huge part in our lives and is related to every one of us. Recently, I participated as a helper in an event called “To Kwa Wan Food Hall”. Four To Kwa Wan kaifongs from all corners of the country were invited to share the recipes of their homemade dishes and the unique stories behind, which were then archived into a co-created cookbook with the help of the participants.
I was pretty impressed by how food can facilitate cultural exchange between residents and non-residents of To Kwa Wan, between new immigrants and elder locals and across generations. Food is embedded with personal stories and rich cultural significance. It can represent a culture and connect people with different backgrounds. As a To Kwa Wan resident myself, I am pleased to see non-residents so interested in understanding the stories of this small community.

︳Cultural Reflection ︳

I’d like to share my inter hall choir competition experience, from which I really learned a lot.

Although almost two weeks have passed, that day’s memory is still as vivid as if it happened yesterday and those treasury moments when we stood under the spotlight, singing together and fighting for our glory, with everybody’s eyes on us, kept flashing back. I think everything, including those numerous practices and all our efforts, have became part of me.

From it, I learned if you want to reach a goal, you’ll have to strive for it and that what a team can achieve is much more powerful than a single person can realize. Practices are quite frequent and complaints did exist especially when midterms were upcoming but all of this paid off when the beautiful melody came out of our throat and the thundering applauses echoed in Loke Yew hall. I felt a strong sense of achievement and great pleasure, which I can not feel at anywhere else.

Marvel 10th Anniversary Movie – Black Panther Film Review

Black Panther is the latest superhero film produced by Marvel Studio. The background story is about a mystery country—Wakanda. The Wakandans have an extreme advance technology but they isolate themselves from the world by posing as a Third World country because they need to hide the vibranium which is the secret substance to make them have power. The main character is Black Panther who gained superman abilities from vibranium. The story is about the throne contest in Wakanda.

This film is released in Feb 2018 and it became the highest-crossing film of 2018, as well as the seventh highest-crossing film ever in Untied States. The reason why this movie is such popular not only the excellent performances, action, screenplay but it’s behind cultural significance. The film used all black actors as main characters. Many film critics praised the film can reflect African society and culture.

I like the story and it’s a science fiction and cross over with action film. It is very exciting and I cannot miss any single moment during the movie. I expect part II would be coming very soon.

Graffiti Art VS Vandalism??
塗鴉文化喺社會一直都係一個好具爭議性嘅話題。講到鐵路塗鴉，相信大家細細個搭車嗰時都會喺窗到見到有啲列車嘅車身俾人畫咗好多嘢喺上面🤣 我就成日都見到嘅～唔知你地又有冇見過呢？

對於街頭塗鴉呢樣嘢，香港大部分嘅人都會覺得呢樣嘢唔應該合法化，仲覺得呢樣嘢係破壞公物嘅行為。不過，亦都有人覺得其實街頭塗鴉都係一種藝術，將自己想講嘅嘢以塗鴉形式表達出嚟。

唔知你地又覺得街頭塗鴉係一門藝術定係一種唔應該被接納嘅行為呢？想知多啲都可以睇下呢篇文章，或者睇下台灣作家 畢恆達嘅 《塗鴉鬼飛踢》。

順帶一提，喺香港其實有好多地方都可以搵到街頭塗鴉㗎～就好似曾灶財嘅書法、「食鬼」等等～大家不妨平日行街嗰時留意多邊周遭事物，或者都可以搵到一啲街頭塗鴉～
