👁️ Discover the World of Optometry at the Optometry Clinic at 👓
Our Optometry Shadowing Programme offers students a unique opportunity to experience real clinical eye care in action. Through shadowing in areas such as clinical consultations, pediatrics, ophthalmic assistance, and optical dispensing, participants gain valuable first-hand exposure to the profession.
As one student, Charlene Li, shared:
“Rather than just learning about optometry from textbooks, lectures, or even the internet, I was able to see how all the components of eye care come together in a real clinical setting.”
What makes the experience even more meaningful is seeing how our Optometry Clinic delivers professional, patient-centred care at every stage. From screenings to eyewear support, Charlene observed that: “Patient care is prioritized at every level” and “each role plays an important part in ensuring patients feel supported, informed, and comfortable.”

In Charlene’s words, the experience “truly opens doors, broadens your perspective” and “confirmed my interest in learning more about this profession.”
