The Debating Society, HKUSU was established in 1913, bearing the longest history among various student societies in The University of Hong Kong. Throughout its one century of continuous operation, the Society has provided extensive training and support to our members to enhance speech eloquence. Until this day, we still acknowledge the importance of upholding this very tradition of our society: pe

rceiving the needs of our members as our primary motivation. Through various activities, organized throughout the year, we offer our members opportunities to further explore their potentials in speech and debating. We have 3 teams in total, which are the Cantonese debating team, the English debating team and the Mandarin debating team.

香港大學學生會演辯學會成立於一九一三年，乃香港大學歷史最悠久的文化學會。 在其一世紀的運作中，本會一向致力提高每一位會員的演講及辯論技巧。時至今 日，本會仍奉行以會員為本的優良傳統。通過各種本會精心策劃的活動，會員能夠進一步探索並發揮自己的演辯潛能。

本會共有三隊辯論隊 - 粵辯隊，英辯隊和普辯隊。

香港大學學生會演辯學會於1913年創會，至今已踏入第105個年頭，是香港大學最歷史悠久的屬會之一。本會一直致力推廣演辯文化，舉辦一年一度的兩大辯論賽、演講比賽，以及一系列的演辯工作坊，為港大同學提供觀摩比賽和學習演講的機會。

Greetings from Debating Society, HKUSU! Bearing the LONGEST history amongst all the other student societies in The University of Hong Kong, Debating Society, HKUSU, has promoted the art of speech and eloquence throughout its 105 years of operation.
We are now recruiting the 105th Executive Committee Members for Session 2018-2019. By being the 105th Executive member of Debating Society will not only earn you pride and prestige but also facilitate you to meet like-minded people and develop long lasting friendships. This opportunity will definitely add value to your university life. If you think you have the calibre and skills required to lead such a prestigious society and wish to challenge yourselves, apply immediately. Applications from all local and non-local students are welcomed.
