Program Details
Catering for a growing interest in how ecology and the natural forces interact with the built environment, the landscape summer program aims at introducing how ecological parameters can be implemented in design strategies. The first week of the landscape program will focus on the basic design trainings (such as drawing, modeling, and other visual communications), while the second
and third week will engage students in landscape design exercises that work with the ecological processes and operations, and to understand how such approach inspires the design of landscape spaces. Students will also participate in workshops and lectures about sustainability, planting design, cultural landscape, and how ecological processes/operations inspire the design of landscape spaces. There will also be field trips to key landscape projects and professional landscape design offices in Hong Kong. Students will also engage in workshops that teach them how to prepare their own portfolios of design work, and such skill may potentially be useful to future pursuits in the design field. A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded upon successful completion. Program Highlights

•Secondary school form 4/5/6 Students (local & overseas)
•First year undergraduates from other local / overseas University courses (but not Architecture or Landscape) who might be considering changing their degrees
•Other non-design background students who are interested in landscape architecture
