Thank you to Professors Paul Armstrong and Bee Hughes for the online masterclass last night on Generative AI for educators, "Talking to the Machine". This was an insightful, interactive, and highly relevant session.

For those who missed it, here are some key takeaways:

-GenAI in education should be used with critical judgement as a support tool and thinking partner, rather than an answer generator.
-This is due to GenAI's inaccuracies and inability to challenge the user unless instructed.
-Use GenAI as a thinking partner to refine your ideas, ask and challenge it.
-Educational leaders must understand the impact of GenAI on colleagues and students, and establish protocols for ethical use and evaluation of new tools.

This session reflects the cutting-edge spirit behind the Manchester MA Educational Leadership in Practice programme, directed by Professors Paul Armstrong and Bee Hughes.
