🚀 That’s a wrap! Accelerating AI Innovation with Cyberport 🤖

We had an incredible turnout this morning at Tam Wing Fan Inno Wing Two for the Cyberport AI Services & AI Subsidy Scheme Introductory Session! A huge thank you to all the academics, R&D pioneers, startup founders, and enterprise leaders who joined us to explore the future of high-performance computing in Hong Kong.

Eleventh in the world, two years in a row! 🌍🏆

【Media Coverage】Children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) often struggle to focus in class, where even minor noises can be highly distracting. While existing gamified training methods are often too abstract to translate effectively into real-life learning environments, Dr. Kathy Shum, Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at HKU and her team have developed a neurofeedback training system that combines functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS) and Virtual Reality (VR).

By using VR to simulate realistic classroom settings with everyday distractions, the system helps students learn self-regulation using real-time feedback from their brain activity. Results have shown significant and sustained improvements in both students’ concentration and daily functioning. The project also won a Silver Medal at the 51st International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva. Check out am730's report for full details!
