We are pleased to announce the Pacific Asia Summit on Transdisciplinary Education (PASTE) 2026, to be held on 26–27 November 2026 at Hong Kong Baptist University. This summit is hosted by Hong Kong Baptist University in collaboration with the Global Alliance for Inter- and Transdisciplinarity (ITD Alliance).

The PASTE2026 convenes educators, researchers, practitioners, and students from across the Asia-Pacific to connect, form partnerships, and share knowledge at the forefront of transdisciplinary education.

What happens when you bring brilliant 𝑮𝑬 𝑩𝒖𝒅𝒅𝒊𝒆𝒔 and 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 into one room? Pure magic! ✨ That was the vibe at our 𝑮𝑬 𝑩𝒖𝒅𝒅𝒚 𝑫𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒑𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑫𝒂𝒚 2026.

Guided by our theme, “The Sustainable Classroom,” we spent the morning connecting, collaborating, and getting creative. Together, we dove deep into the future of learning, exploring ideas like:

🤖 Integrating AI in education to spark new possibilities.
🔄 Turning learning on its head with the flipped classroom model.

But we know a sustainable classroom isn’t just about innovative pedagogy—it’s about the people. That’s why we asked a simple question: “How do you relax during a busy workday?” The honest answers were a powerful reminder that well-being can’t be an afterthought.

A huge thank you to our friends at 𝙇𝙐𝙎𝙃 for showing us what sustainability looks like in action! 🛁 We all got to roll up our sleeves and make our own colourful bubble bars!🫧

After all, a little “me time” is essential for us to show up as better educators, partners, and learners—sometimes, that’s as simple as a bath to wash the day away.

This semester’s newly launched GE Capstone Workshop, ‘GCAP3276 From Community Insight to Entrepreneurial Impact’, led by Lecturer Mr. Barry Hung, saw students visit the Caritas Computer Workshop to assist with the refurbishment of electronic equipment, extending the life of resources that still have value and turning them for the benefit of the community.

Meet the architects of tomorrow's workplace! 🚀𝗦𝘄𝗶𝗽𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆!

HKBU’s "Role Reimagine" competition just wrapped! Jointly organised by the 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲, 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲, and 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲, this competition challenged students to think beyond the job search and instead invent the roles of tomorrow. And wow, did they deliver!

In partnership with industry giants like 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗯𝗲, 𝗞𝗢𝗦, 𝗝𝗼𝗯𝘀𝗗𝗕 𝗯𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗸, 𝗟𝗨𝗦𝗛, 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗖𝗠𝗣 over 150 students from diverse majors teamed up to create visionary new roles.

🏆 Highlights include:
🔸𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 & 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝘁: A role for JobsDB to rate companies on well-being and fight burnout.
🔸𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿: A position for Adobe to merge AI tools with human-centric creativity for the next generation.
🔸𝗣𝗵𝘆𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱: A job for Media Asia to turn classic entertainment into interactive experiences for Gen Z using AI and immersive events.
