Summer updates are happening now! ☀️

We have just completed the carpet replacement on the G/F, and we are making some major visual upgrades to our learning spaces:

Classroom B: We replaced one projector with a brand-new LED wall, increasing the screen from 120 to a massive 162 inches!

LC Tutorial Spaces: The upgraded projector brings the screen size from 120 up to 145 inches!

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our summer improvements. 🔄

The University Archives is HKUST’s living memory, safeguarding the official records 📜, publications 📚, photos 📸, audio-visual materials 🎞️, and unique memorabilia that tell the story of HKUST. It is how we protect our legacy for the future! 🧬

As we celebrate HKUST's 35th anniversary 🎊, we're showcasing some of our most precious archival records that reveal the founding of our university and stories of our university community.

Beyond Studying: Wellness & Fragrance 🌿

More than just a study space, the Library continues to grow as a vibrant hub for creativity, wellness, and personal enrichment. 🎨✨

We recently teamed up 🤝 with DSTO to host a DIY Perfume Cream Workshop. 🧴

Participants explored the art and language of perfume making, created their own signature scents, and experienced the soothing, stress-relieving power of aromatherapy. 🌸💧

Last year, 16 Library colleagues volunteered their time to give back to the community ❤️.

From buddy reading 📚 to beach clean-ups 🏖️ and sorting clothes for recycling ♻️, our team showed that our care goes way beyond the bookshelves. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and made a real impact!

On 4 May, we were honoured with the Outstanding Volunteer Engagement Award 🏆 at the HKUST Impact Makers Appreciation Ceremony 2026 - recognising the highest proportion of staff participation across the University.

This achievement belongs to every colleague who gave their time and care. Let’s keep the momentum going ✨
