Ordering drinks in Hong Kong-style restaurants (caa4 caan1 teng1) is very easy. Most of the drinks are abbreviated into a three-word phrase, with the first word describing its temperature (hot: jit6 / cold: dung3) and the last two stating the kind of drink. For example…
jit6 gaa3 fe1 = hot coffee
dung3 naai5 caa4 = cold milk tea
For lemon water and lemon tea, in order to stick to the “three-word rule”, we use ning2 to stand for ning4 mung1 (lemon). So…
jit6 ning2 seoi2 = hot lemon water
dung3 ning2 caa4 = cold lemon tea
As for the other two common drinks, Horlicks and Ovaltine, they are often reduced to two-word phrases when in combination with hot/cold, in order to stick to the “three-word rule”.
hou2 laap6 hak1 = Horlicks
o1 waa4 tin4 = Ovaltine
dung3/jit6 ho1 lik1 (horlick) = cold/hot Horlicks
dung3/jit6 waa4 tin4 = cold/hot Ovaltine

For cold drinks, it might be good to ask for less or even no ice cube in the drink, especially since the weather has become cooler now! You could add these phrases when ordering your drink.
siu2 bing1 = less ice
zau2 bing1 = no ice
