【美國矽谷國際發明展】中大醫學院的科研項目於2024年美國矽谷國際發明節（SVIIF）共獲得7個獎項，包括三個金獎及三個銀獎，其中一項發明兼獲特別獎— 國際發明聯盟協會（IFIA）獎。是次獲獎項目彰顯了中大醫學院學者推動知識轉移的成果，成功把研究及創新轉化為具社會效益的產品。得獎項目詳情如下：

🥇 肌腱病的突破性治療：全球首創的可注射型 FABP4 抑制劑水凝膠
◾ 研究和開發負載脂肪酸結合蛋白 4（FABP4） 抑制劑的可注射水凝膠，用於治療退化性肌腱和韌帶損傷。它能夠改善肌腱和韌帶修復，減輕行走時肌腱和韌帶的疼痛，也能促進發炎性肌腱幹細胞的肌腱分化。

🥈人工智慧輔助骨科義肢設計與手術規劃系統
◾ 此系統有助於自動骨缺損部位檢測、假體生成，簡化了手術程序，並在骨科治療領域樹立了新的標準。外科醫生的儀器功能包括 : 骨切割、假體組裝、內固定自動設計工具。

【Silicon Valley International Inventions Festival】Researchers from CU Medicine have won 7 awards at the Silicon Valley International Inventions Festival (SVIIF) 2024, including three Gold Medals and three Silver Medals. One of the winning inventions has also received a special prize - the Prize of the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA). 🥇 A Breakthrough Discovery in Tendinopathy Treatment: the World’s First Injectable Fatty Acid-binding Protein 4 Inhibitor-loaded Hydrogel
◾ This BMS309403-loaded hydrogel treats tendinopathy by targeting fatty acid-binding protein 4 (FABP4), inflammation and pain. It restores the regenerative capacity of tendon stem cells. Slow release ensures sustained effectiveness.
