【停止運作公告Announcement of Suspension】

本會多名司法委員已於本學年完成其本科生修業要求，故將在二零二二年七月三十一日後失去其本科生身分，並會同時失去其學生會基本會員資格。
因此，自二零二二年八月一日起，本會司法委員人數將不足以達到《香港中文大學學生會會章》（下稱《學生會會章》）第二十五條所訂明之最低要求。按《學生會會章》第二十七條之規定，當本會人數不足時，本會之司法職能將由學生會代表會暫代履行，直至本會人數達法定要求為止。
由於本會認為於可見將來不可能出現根據現行《學生會會章》組成之學生會代表會，亦不可能根據現行《學生會會章》委任新任司法委員，本會現宣布：
「香港中文大學學生會司法委員會，作為學生會現存最後一個合憲組織，將無限期停止運作。」
祝各司法委員前程似錦，亦願各基本會員於亂流下平安。

Dear Full Members,
Some Members of Judicial Committee (MJCs) have already fulfilled their graduation requirements and will lose their status as undergraduates and Full Members of the Student Union of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (“the Union”), starting from 1 August 2022 onwards.
The number of MJCs in Judicial Committee will thus be insufficient to meet the minimum requirement as specified in Art. 25 of the Constitution of the Union (“the Constitution”). According to Art. 27 of the Constitution, the judicial function of the Judicial Committee shall be temporarily taken over by the Council of the Union (“the Council”) until the number of MJCs meets the constitutional requirement.
In light of the current situation, the Judicial Committee considers both the formation of a constitutional Council and a constitutional appointment of new MJCs impossible, and hereby announces that:
“The Judicial Committee of the Student Union of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, as the last constitutional body of the Union, shall suspend indefinitely.”
Wish all the MJCs a bright future, and may peace be with our Full Members.
