Nacionalno vijeće učenika Republike Hrvatske najviše je tijelo učenika osnovnih i srednjih škola na nacionalnoj razini. Predstavničko je tijelo svih studenata iz Hrvatske i savjetodavno tijelo Ministarstva znanosti i obrazovanja od 2005. Zadaća Vijeća je: zastupanje učenika u svim pitanjima na nacionalnoj razini koja se odnose na njih, njihov rad i obrazovni sustav, brine o obvezama, pravima i int
eresima učenika te ih zastupa, priprema i daje prijedloge ministru znanosti i obrazovanja o pitanjima važnima za učenike, njihov rad i rezultate u obrazovanju,
predlaganje mjera za unapređenje rada u školi,
pomoć učenicima u ispunjavanju školskih, izvannastavnih i drugih obveza,
promicanje interesa učenika s posebnim potrebama i traženje rješenja za probleme s kojima se svakodnevno susreću,
promicanje sportskog duha i borba protiv svih vrsta ovisnosti kod učenika,
poticanje i njegovanje kulture dijaloga i tolerancije među učenicima s obzirom na nacionalnu, rasnu i vjersku različitost, razvijanje suradnje učenika sa učenicima u drugim zemljama,
promicanje inovativnosti i istraživačkog duha među učenicima,
jačanje strukture vijeća učenika u Republici Hrvatskoj i učeničkog predstavništva, te u tu svrhu promicanje demokracije, transparentnosti i reprezentativnosti među učenicima. The National Council of students of the Republic of Croatia is the highest body of primary and secondary school students at the national level. It is a representative body of all students from Croatia and an advisory body to the Ministry of Science and Education since 2005. The council consists of 21 members - one member from each county. The task of the Council is: representing students in all issues at the national level that relate to them, their work and the educational system,
taking care of the obligations, rights and interests of students and representing them, preparing and making proposals to the Minister of Science and Education on issues important to students, their work and results in education,
proposing measures to improve work in schools,
helping students to fulfill school, extracurricular and other obligations, promoting the interests of students with special needs and looking for solutions to the problems they face on a daily basis, promotion of sportsmanship and the fight against all kinds of addictions among students,
encouraging and fostering a culture of dialogue and tolerance among students with regard to national, racial and religious diversity,
developing student cooperation with students in other countries,
promotion of innovation and research spirit among students,
strengthening the structure of student councils in the Republic of Croatia and student representation, and for this purpose promoting democracy, transparency and representativeness among students,
helping to build the personality and strengthen the student's identity.
