TY students created their own handmade sugar skulls as part of the Día de los Mu***os project in Ms. Arancibia’s class! 💀
Students had the option of using clay or paper to create their own 3D sugar skulls, showcasing their creativity while learning about the traditions and cultural significance of Día de los Mu***os in Spanish speaking countries. We love seeing their creativity and hard work come to life!

TY Students Put Their Design Skills to the Test!

Our Transition Year students recently took on an exciting engineering challenge, designing and building bridges using only paper and cardboard. The task encouraged students to explore the properties of different building materials while applying their creativity, problem-solving and design skills. The winning bridge impressively supported 14 textbooks before failing, while also using the least amount of material. A fantastic example of how effective design, innovation and efficiency go hand in hand; proving that when it comes to engineering, less really can be more!

Our U16s secured a fantastic win Friday against Gaelchólaiste Cill Dara! It was a tightly fought match throughout, with rarely more than three points separating the sides. However, our players dug deep in the final quarter to pull away for a convincing 59–42 victory. Huge well done to the whole team!

Our U19s were also in action against Gaelchólaiste in another thrilling, closely matched game. Unfortunately, they just fell short by two points in a razor-thin finish. Hard luck, lads—a great effort all around!
