We are very happy to announce that our 2025 graduate Diane Curran has just won the Chartered Institute of Horticulture prestigious Aberconway Award for best thesis. Diane’s thesis looked at the relationship between green spaces and public health and used innovative qualitative research methods like photography to observe community and ethnographic fieldwork. Diane was excellent across all areas of study and achieved a first-class honours degree classification in the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Horticulture.
While Diane is now off to pastures new, now engaged in a MA in Art, Psyche, and the Creative Imagination at Limerick School of Art and Design and making a difference to her community as a Craft Gardener with Limerick City and County Council, we loved having her with us and are very proud.
