📣 NEW SHOW ANNOUNCEMENT!! 📣

We are always very excited when our graduates and students work together on new projects so we’re thrilled to see Sídh coming to the Cork Arts Theatre tomorrow!

Sídh is a new theatrical storytelling performance that weaves together a collection of stories of mythological Irish women navigating power, war, resilience, desire, love, loss, and transformation.

Performed by BATDS grad Úna Ní Bhriain, the work draws on her lifelong connection to traditional Irish storytelling as the daughter of a seanchaí. This piece marks a new step in her practice, bridging storytelling and contemporary performance.

Developed in collaboration with director Jenny Whyte (BATDS grad and lecturer), whose scenographic approach elevates and enriches the sensory and visual world of the piece, Sídh blends the intimacy of the seanchaí
tradition with theatrical design.

In this shared space between storyteller and audience, tales of ancient goddesses, warriors, queens, and otherworldly beings feel both timeless and strikingly present today.

Other CSM graduates and current students in the creative/production team are:

Michael-Anthony Greene - Producer & Production Manager
(BATDS alum)

Emily Naughton - Sound Designer
(BAPM alum)

BATDS Year 4 Interns:

Aishling McKeon - Assistant Director

Flora Agotha - Stage Manager

Aaron Ganly - Production Assistant

Ava Manning - Social Media Manager

Sídh runs Cork Arts Theatre this week from Thursday to Saturday at 8pm, with lunchtime shows on Friday and Saturday at 1pm.

Tickets at cork arts theatre.com.

We love it when our graduates collaborate as professionals!

Best of luck to BATDS grads Aoife Byrne (stage manager), Molly Foley (assistant stage manager) and Mollie Savage (audio describer) as they head off on a national tour with ‘s production of Grace, written by Jody O’Neill and directed by Niall Cleary. The show was originally produced by our own with .

All four graduates have been consistently working in various roles in the areas of production and stage management, as well as directing and performing since finishing their studies at CSM.

Grace is a play for young people and families and explores the universal themes of grief and communication.

In a wonderful example of inclusive theatre, all performances are relaxed and audio described, and contain creatively-embedded access including captions.

Break a leg to all involved!
