The MTU Volunteer Abroad programme provides financial support to students who wish to Volunteer Abroad.
For 2026, the programme will support students through a Bursary Award.
Current full-time registered MTU Cork campus students are eligible to apply for the programme.
The volunteer abroad programme must be a duration of at least 2 weeks.
Students are invited to consider volunteering options listed on the comhlámh website. This is a list of volunteer sending agencies which are signed up to the Comhlámh Code of Good Practice which share a vision around values-led volunteering (linked in bio ⛓️💥). Solidarity, Social Justice, Ecological Sustainability, Respect, Integrity.
Organisations not signed up to the code of practise will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Students can check prior to applying if their organisation is suitable for application.
