Nicola, one of our Access Administrators, was delighted to attend the Mayfield Community School Open Night.

It was wonderful to meet primary school students exploring their next step in education, current Mayfield CS students thinking about higher education, MTU students who are proud Mayfield CS graduates, as well as parents, teachers and the wider school community.

If you have any queries about the work we do at MTU Access, please email us on [email protected] or call 021-4335138.

Deirdre, our Head of Access and Disability, attended the Cork Learning Neighbourhoods Annual Recognition Ceremony last Thursday on behalf of the team.

Always a highlight in the calendar, it was wonderful to celebrate the people, communities and organisations who make Learning Neighbourhoods Cork such a success, and what better way to celebrate than with an afternoon filled with music, stories, and conversation.

The Learner Panel was particularly impactful, where learners from across Cork shared their experiences of learning and taking part in Learning Neighbourhood activities. The panel included Valerie Mayfield CDP who is a graduate of a number of our Access modules, and Eleanor Dillons Cross Project who is due to be conferred shortly from our Building Social Connections module.

A warm welcome to Ballincollig as the newest Learning Neighbourhood in the city!
