We had an excellent Quinn Early Careers panel discussion last week with UCD Business Alumni.
Thank you to all who participated.

These events are a valuable opportunity for our students to hear directly from alumni who, only a few years ago, were themselves sitting in the seats of the PwC Theatre.

The panel shared insights on:

- What they have been doing since graduation
- Their career journey and how for some, their paths have already changed direction
- Learnings along the way
- Their thoughts on what employers are looking for in a graduate

It is always fantastic to welcome our alumni back and to hear from them as they develop such exciting and diverse career pathways across a wide variety of sectors. There really are so many opportunities out there!

A huge thank you to Cathal O'Shea, Alli Donaghy, Daniel Edunjobi, Shaun Toner, Michele Mann, Oisin Mallon for taking the time to come back and give back.

We look forward to following your continued success and hope the students who attended were inspired by your stories and the possibilities that lie ahead for them.

What does life after college really look like?

One of the brilliant things about Quinn is the opportunity to connect with different generations of graduates as you think about your 'what's next'.

Join us this Thursday at 9.30am for an informal early career panel with Quinn alums from various points across the first ten years out.  An excellent panel working across a range of roles and sectors.

Hear about their first steps after graduation, the choices and changes that have shaped their careers, what they’ve learned along the way — and the advice they would give to students preparing to make those first moves themselves.

Students from all years and all Quinn programmes are very welcome.

We've been a little quite on here but that's because we have been very busy !! 

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing staff and student ambassadors who joined us at the UCD Business stand at Higher Options last week! 💙

Three busy days and a team of over 25 people speaking to thousands of prospective students - sharing your experiences and answering lots of questions!  It is so wonderful to have such support and enthusiasm to showcase our wonderful school. 🙌  

And of course, we do hope to welcome some of those we chatted with to Quinn next year as students.

This year was extra important as University College Dublin (UCD) unveiled our newly branded exhibition stand along with our newly designed UCD Business prospectus! 

Thank you to everyone for making it such a success and for MyUCD | Prospective Students for organising it all behind the scences and getting us all there.

The warmest of welcomes to our nearly 600 new students who joined us in UCD Lochlann Quinn School of Business yesterday and today, travelling from across Ireland and from all corners of the world 🌎

We are so delighted to welcome you and for the many exciting opportunities that are ahead for you.

To our staff and amazing Peer Mentors who worked so hard to make the last two days a positive experience and gave such a warm welcome, thank you very much.

We'll see you all on Monday...along with everyone else 😉

University College Dublin (UCD) has awarded an honorary doctorate to Breege O’Donoghue, Primark pioneer and Irish business leader, in recognition of an exceptional career in international business, her contribution to Irish business and society, and her longstanding commitment to UCD and its students.

Having graduated from the UCD Lochlann Quinn School of Business with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1972 her advice to executives starting out reflects the values that have shaped her approach to leadership: “Know right from wrong, be ethically aware. Be satisfied only with the very best, do not be clothed in power and status, but generous in mind and heart and spirit. And yes, it is encouragement and love that inspire people to succeed and be happy the world over.”

Congratulations to JP McGrath on his recent appointment with Aurivo. Wonderful to see graduates in leadership roles across so many sectors.

🧑‍🎓🚜 UCD graduate JP McGrath has been appointed Chief Executive of Aurivo and will take up the position in late September.

A Chartered Accountant and UCD Lochlann Quinn School of Business graduate with a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.), JP brings extensive leadership experience across the food, agri-business, renewable energy, and manufacturing sectors.

He joins Aurivo from Dairygold, where he served as Chief Financial Officer, and previously held senior financial, commercial, and operational roles with Bord na Móna, Norbrook Laboratories, and Aryzta.

Farmer-owned Aurivo supports more than 10,000 members and works with over 950 family farms. Employing more than 750 people, the co-operative operates across dairy ingredients, consumer foods, agribusiness and livestock marts, playing an important role in Ireland’s agri-food sector and rural communities.
