Alumni Spotlight: Louise Quinn

Having studied at NCI on three separate occasions, gaining accredited qualifications through the College's long-standing collaboration with the Department of Social Protection, Louise reflects on a particular moment that stands out. This advice from Programme Director, Nicola Horgan, continues to shape both her personal and professional life:

We are delighted to feature on the CIPD website for our announcement of the in-the-works development of Ireland's 1st HR Apprenticeship.

The programme is being developed in partnership with CIPD Ireland to foster a more inclusive route into the profession, allowing people to develop practical skills and earn a recognised qualification at the same time.

Professor Gina Quin, President of Ireland says "This pioneering apprenticeship programme will offer a unique opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge needed for successful careers in HR while supporting employers to grow their talent pipelines."

Yesterday marked our 7th Annual Research Day, an important date in the NCI Calendar where our academics and researchers come together to showcase their ongoing research work and findings.

Diverse research topics from our schools and departments was represented across 10 presentations. We were also delighted to be joined by our keynote speaker Dr Lucia Walsh from Office of the Vice President for Sustainability, Technological University Dublin.

Congratulations to award winners Dr Nicole Gross from our School of Business and Social Sciences for 'The Digital Determinants of Health: A New Era for Global Public Health' and
Dr Mohit Garg from our School of Computing for 'A Scalable RAG-Enhanced Multi-LLM Architecture for Intention-Aware Autonomous Vehicle Decision-Making'
