The SER Launch 2022 will officially be taking place in the GMB on Thursday the 7th of April. Our flagship event of the year will begin at 7:30 with a reception in the Phil conversation room, and the Launch will commence at 8 in the chamber. On the night, you will be able to collect a hard copy of the review to read all of the magnificent essays, as well as getting the opportunity to hear from our great guest speaker Andrea Linehan. UL Economics Professor Stephen Kinsella will also be speaking at the event. Finally, we will be announcing the winners of the Dermot McAleese Medal for the best overall essay, the John O’Hagan Medal for the best applied economics essay and the best Fresh essay prize. Andrea Linehan is a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and investor in the FinTech space. She is a Fractional CMO and advisor to start-ups and was listed as one of The Top 30 Most Influential Fintech Marketers of 2021. After 10 years in the Middle East working on a public-private partnership for the Omani government, she returned to Ireland in 2013 where she spent over 5 years as CMO and Board Member of start-up GRID Finance. She is now global CMO of FinTech scale-up Zai, a B2B payments technology company and its sister B2C brand, CurrencyFair. Andrea sits on the board of the Irish International Business Network, is an advisory board member of the CMO Council, and until 2020, she was an advisory council member of the Small Firms Association in Ireland, a position she held since 2016. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Finance, is a Postgraduate of the Chartered Institute of Marketers, has an MBA from the University of Dublin (Trinity College Dublin) and is a Chartered Management Accountant.
