Palestinian Sunbird Documentary 🐦✨️

The Palestinian sunbird, with its striking blue and orange feathers, has become a symbol of resilience, identity, and freedom

Join us and the Palestinian Society next week for a special documentary screening to learn more about the story behind this remarkable symbol

It is a forty-five-minute documentary following Palestinian artist and activist Khaled Jarrar as he creates works featuring the national of Palestine, the Palestine Sunbird, and travels internationally to spread awareness and garner support of the fair treatment of his people and ultimately a free Palestine

Prior to the screening we will be showing a short presentation to introduce the Sunbird and its story to everyone present

📣 BIG NEWS EVERYONE! 📣

Mark your calendars for this Monday the 2nd because Wildlife Week is back 😮🤭 And we couldn’t be more excited! ✨

Wildlife Week, inspired by World Wildlife Day, is our annual celebration dedicated to recognising the importance of biodiversity, conservation, and protecting the species that share our planet. It's all about raising awareness, sparking curiosity, and encouraging action to help safeguard wildlife for generations to come 🌍🐾

Our Zoocrew has been busy planning an unforgettable week packed with fun and meaningful events. From lively pub quizzes to fascinating talks, there’s truly something for everyone to get involved in. Whether you’re passionate about conservation or simply love animals, we’d love to see you there! 🌸🌳

Most importantly, everything raised throughout the week will be donated to Claddagh Swan Rescue, supporting their incredible work rescuing, rehabilitating, and caring for swans and other native wildlife in need 🦢💚

We’ll be sharing more details about each event very soon, so stay tuned. Let’s come together to celebrate, learn, and make a real difference this Wildlife Week! 🌱🫶
