Who pays for creativity? How can tax policy support the growth and sustainability of Irelandโs creative and cultural industries?
On Friday 9 October, Dr Maria O'Brien (Lecturer in Taxation) will bring academics, policymakers and industry leaders together at the Royal Irish Academy (RIA) in Dublin for an afternoon exploring the relationship between tax policy and Irelandโs creative economy.
The event will examine how tax policies for the creative sector are designed, evaluated and implemented, and consider their impact on the development and sustainability of Irelandโs cultural and creative industries.
The programme will feature a keynote from Edith Sepp of the Estonian Film Institute, followed by a panel discussion bringing together academic, policy and industry perspectives.
