"The How" is through the opportunities we provide which range from Engineering, Science and Maths to The Arts. The "What we do" is that we liaise with Enterprise and other Education partners to build partnerships that will benefit the next generations.

The Postgraduate Diploma in School Leadership / Dioplóma Gairmiúil I gGeannaireacht Scoile

is a very successful programme of leadership development that is substantially funded by the Department of Education. The Department covers three fifths of the fees and teachers cover two fifths (approx. €2,000). This is an excellent opportunity for colleagues to gain a level 9 qualification in Leadership at a substantially funded rate. The programme is 18 months in duration, part-time blended learning programme and is designed to complement the very busy lives of teachers and school leaders. We welcome leaders, middle leaders, and teachers who aspire to leadership in the future.

For principals or aspiring leaders who would like to learn more, there is an online information session on Wednesday, June 24rd at 7pm.

This session will provide an overview of the structure and purpose of the PDSL, along with time for questions.

Galway ESC Director, Liam Mitchell, attended an inspiring workshop in Wildacres Nature Reserve last week. There were excellent presentations and a tour of their amazing grounds. The day culminated in a commitment to engage with the "Dúlra Agreement" in collaboration with ISSN and other partners. Galway ESC pledges to improve biodiversity on our grounds over the coming school year. It is our hope that we can inspire, support and encourage schools to join us in this effort.
