Our Advanced SNA students demonstrated excellent teamwork, communication and critical thinking skills during today’s class activities.

Working in groups, Group One researched and compiled a list of facts and myths about disabilities before challenging Group Two to identify which statements were true and which were misconceptions.

Group Two was tasked with planning a birthday party for 20 children, ensuring that the event was inclusive and accessible for all attendees, including children with both visible and invisible disabilities.

These engaging activities encouraged students to reflect on inclusion, challenge stereotypes, and consider practical ways of creating environments where every child feels valued, respected and supported.

🌟 Industry Insights for Our Early Learning & Care Students 🌟

On Monday, we were delighted to welcome representatives from several local Early Years services to speak with our Early Learning & Care students.
A sincere thank you to Rebecca from Wee Care Day Nurseries, Elaine from Treehouse Pre-School & Montessori, Nicola from Play & Learn, and Nikki and Claire from Cocoon for taking the time to share their experiences and insights. Their discussions gave students a valuable understanding of the Early Years sector, career opportunities within the profession, and the vital role Early Years Educators play in supporting children’s learning and development.
We greatly appreciate their encouragement, expertise, and commitment to supporting the next generation of Early Years professionals.
We look forward to continuing to strengthen our links with industry partners and working together to support our students and the wider community.

A massive thank you to Ciara and Lucy (DC Sallynoggin) and Monica (DC Dundrum) the brilliant teachers behind the fabulous Dublin College stand at WorldSkills 2026!

Our professional Floristry and Horticulture courses caught the eye of many students exploring future careers. The stand was buzzing all day, with crowds trying their hand at crafting their own wrist corsages!

Well done to everyone involved! 👏

Huge congratulations to Orfhlaith, Barry and Max on completing the Irish Life Dublin Half Marathon.

From the classroom to the finish line, they showed commitment, resilience and real Sallynoggin spirit.

Proud of this team.

Our Early Learning & Care students created a birthday display inspired by the movie Up.
Afterwards, we identified themes from Aistear, The Early Childhood Curriculum Framework’ and agreed on the theme ‘Identity & Belonging’ as the most appropriate to support this experience for children.
Babies, toddlers and young children will have strong self identities and will be respected and celebrated as unique individuals with their own life stories.
