WCFE welcomes our Erasmus partners from Drenthe college to Parnell Street today.
The team will engage in a number of activities during the week including tours, co- teaching and celebratory events.
Drenthe hosted the WCFE Erasmus group in the last academic year and we are delighted to welcome them to Waterford and our college.

WCFE enjoyed some gorgeous cakes today at breaktime to celebrate 🥳 🎉 one of the highest student enrolments in WCFE, topping out at 848!!
The occasion is extra special as this year is the 120th Anniversary of WCFE.
The demand for WCFE courses is a testament to its progressive and innovative curriculum, and the wonderful supportive atmosphere on campus for our students.
Since 1906, WCFE has been a leader in further education, offering innovative programmes, delivered by a dedicated and highly qualified teaching team.
Here's to another 120 years!!

Halloween Costume Competition Reminder - Tuesday, 20 October

Our Halloween Costume Competition will take place in the Student Canteen at 12:00. All students entering the competition should arrive in costume, ready to participate!

An independent judging panel comprising Annette O’Neill, and City Square Management will judge the competition.

Prizes are kindly sponsored by City Square:

1st prize: €30 City Square voucher

2nd prize: €20 City Square voucher

We were delighted to welcome Karen Walsh from Breast Cancer Ireland who gave a fantastic information & demonstration workshop recently.

This health promotion event was organised by the Sports Therapy & Injury Management students as part of their project work.

This type of assessment allows students to integrate theory with real world practice in preparation for their career.

A huge thanks to everyone who helped run this event.

ACTIVE CONSENT | EMPOWERING STUDENT VOICES

A huge thank you to Sinéad McGrath from the Active Consent Team-University of Galway for delivering an inspiring and empowering Active Consent training session to our Student Council representatives at Waterford College of Further Education (WCFE).

Together, we are working towards creating a culture where everyone feels empowered to speak up, challenge inappropriate behaviour, support one another and promote a safe, respectful and inclusive college community.

Well done to all our Student Council representatives for their enthusiasm, engagement and commitment to making a positive difference!
