What can we say about Teresa our beloved colleague on her retirement? How can we fit 38 years of service here, or the infinity of memorable moments shared during that time? We cannot.
What we can do is wish her the very best on her retirement and say Teresa, we will miss you so much! Miss your fun, your pragmatism, your sense of justice, your advice, and the kind turn that is in you for everyone. Oh and the famous one liners, your perspective, your attention to detail, your loyalty, your emotional safe harbour and of course, being able to see the humour in everything.
Needless to say the building sends its regards too. No one could make it dazzle the way you did.
Like people, character buildings need attention and skill to unveil their true personality. You were a master at it. You knew where all its treasures could be found...books, photos, detail, stillness, beauty, peace.
Enjoy your retirement, lady! Stay in touch and thanks for everything 🙏

Don't forget the deadline for this year's applications for the bursary is coming up next week - so get it in asap - The nursary is aimed at people who need money to help them get to the next stage of their career / create a new project / get time to work on ideas etc. etc.
It is a very open type bursary - just what Ted and Mary would want

📰 Great to see Further Education and Training (FET) graduate, Jennifer Wood, in today’s Irish Independent CAO Change of Mind supplement!

➡️ Jennifer’s journey after school has focused on taking the time to discover her true path. After completing a post-Leaving Certificate (PLC) course at the Bray Institute of Further Education (BIFE), without a Leaving Certificate, not only did Jennifer get the opportunity to travel on a three-week Erasmus+ in Spain, but she also got a place in university to study a degree in science. While at BIFE, she deferred her science degree to explore another passion and decided to stay on at BIFE to study Music Performance.

As Jennifer says herself: “If you take a year or two to do one or two PLCs and figure out what you actually like, you could have the rest of your life then doing something that you absolutely adore.”
