We were delighted to welcome students from the WWETB Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board Welding Course to Kent Stainless for a site visit. this week.

The visit gave students the opportunity to see welding and fabrication in a real manufacturing environment and gain an insight into career opportunities within the industry.

Over the past few months, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming students from Loreto Secondary School, Wexford, Coláiste Abbáin, as well as members of South East Young Engineers for site visits.

These visits are an important way for us to showcase the opportunities within manufacturing and engineering, and to give the students a real insight into career paths available in the industry.

These visits were particularly rewarding for the teachers, who had the opportunity to see their former students thriving and well settled into their apprenticeships with us.

Today we held our annual Apprenticeship Open Day and were delighted to welcome young people from many secondary schools from around the county including Selskar College and Ramsgrange Community School.

This annual event provides attendees with a great insight into the career paths available in Kent Stainless and our team were on hand to share their experiences, answer questions, and give attendees a behind-the-scenes look at what a future with us could look like.
