As approaches the final stretch of an incredible journey, we're proud to continue introducing the remarkable students who make up our global community. 🌍🎓
✨ Meet Kate Kankhadze ✨
🇲🇼 Kate is making history as the first female student from Malawi to join the International Master of Public Health (IMPH).
💙 Her passion for public health began while working as a Nutrition Officer at a district hospital in rural Malawi, where she witnessed the impact of cholera outbreaks, endemic malaria, and the devastating effects of malnutrition on vulnerable communities. These experiences inspired her to look beyond individual patient care and focus on improving health at the population level. 🏥🌱
📚 Studying alongside colleagues from around the world has broadened Kate's understanding of health systems, policies, and the complex challenges facing global public health today. 🤝🌎
✨ Being part of IMPH 51 and studying in Jerusalem—a place she had long dreamed of visiting—has been both exciting and transformative. Kate is grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and be part of such a diverse international community. 🇮🇱💫
We're proud to have Kate as part of the IMPH family and look forward to seeing the impact she will continue to make in Malawi and beyond. 💙
