**Tenure-Track Faculty Position 2026–2027**

The Department of Political Science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem invites applications for a tenure-track position (open rank), beginning in Fall 2027. We welcome applications from outstanding candidates with a record of excellence in research in all fields of political science. Both junior and senior scholars holding a PhD in political science or a closely related discipline are encouraged to apply. Candidates are expected to have their dissertations approved no later than September 30, 2027.

To apply, please submit the following materials:
• A short 1–2 page cover letter explaining the applicant’s current status, key area of research, fit with the department, and willingness to begin teaching in Fall 2027
• Curriculum Vitae
• A scientific biography outlining the applicant’s theoretical and methodological research focus, contribution, achievements, and plans for the coming years
• A list of courses the applicant can teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels
• Electronic copies of up to three writing samples
• Teaching evaluations, if available
Additionally, three letters of recommendation should be submitted directly to the Search Committee.

The language of instruction at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem is Hebrew, though some courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels are taught in English. New faculty members are expected to be able to teach in Hebrew within a few years of their arrival.
The deadline for applications is September 1, 2026. Candidates selected by the Department will compete with candidates from other departments in the Faculty of Social Sciences for available positions.
