For decades, Prof. Emeritus Mooli Lahad has helped people and communities transform trauma into resilience. Yesterday, he received Israel's Presidential Medal, the country's highest civilian honor, from President Isaac Herzog at a special ceremony at the President's Residence. ๐๏ธ
A globally recognized pioneer in resilience, psychotrauma, and crisis intervention, Prof. Lahad has dedicated his career to strengthening societies in times of adversity. From founding the Community Stress Prevention Center in Kiryat Shmona and developing the groundbreaking BASIC PH resilience model, to leading psychological support missions in disaster and conflict zones worldwide, his work has shaped resilience practice both in Israel and around the globe.
For many years, Prof. Lahad also led Tel-Hai University of Kiryat Shmona in the Galileeโs Drama Therapy Program and International Academic Relations Unit, helping educate and inspire generations of students and professionals.
