Structure of Viksit Bharat Shiksha Adhishthan

The Viksit Bharat Shiksha Adhishthan is structured with three independent and clearly defined councils, ensuring transparency, accountability and credibility in higher education. The Viksit Bharat Shiksha Manak Parishad focuses on aligning and harmonizing academic standards across all higher education institutions.

The Viksit Bharat Shiksha Viniyaman Parishad is the regulatory body for ensuring quality, coordination and fostering global engagement.

Complementing this, the Viksit Bharat Shiksha Gunvatta Parishad oversees and strengthens the accreditation ecosystem. Together, these three councils create a balanced, transparent and efficient framework that supports excellence and trust in India’s higher education system.

Tripura University hosted a 3-day workshop (Dec 10-12) on "Sacred Letters of the Himalayas: Indo-Tibetan Script" by the Department of Archaeology and Ancient Indian Culture, Tripura University & Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies, Dhamma Dipa Univ.

Participants mastered Tibetan script basics, phonetics, and Buddhist text translation amid lectures on Himalayan cultural heritage.
Hands-on sessions covered inscriptions, mantras, and grammar, fostering foundational literacy.

Coordinated by Dr Palas Kumar Saha & Dr Rituparna Ghosh, with support from Ms Jyotshna Rani Khundrakpam and Dr Pankaj Singh. A step forward for Himalayan studies.

Tripura University hosted a Swadeshi Medical Camp at Maharaja Bir Bikram Auditorium to honour the first Swadeshi martyr, Babu Genu. Jointly organised with CCRAS Agartala and Swadeshi Jagran Manch, it offered free Ayurveda consultations and medicines.
Officiating VC Prof. Shyamal Das and Registrar Dr Deepak Sharma emphasised the need to embrace Swadeshi values for national progress. Dr Tiwari highlighted Ayurveda’s root-cause approach to healing. The programme was moderated by Dr Sunil Kalai, HoD JMC, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Sanjib Bhowmik.

Heartiest congratulations to Dr. Arabinda Ghosh, Assistant Professor, Department of Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics, Tripura University, for being awarded an official copyright by the Indian Copyright Office for his innovative tool “M2CIDSmile”. Developed in collaboration with PES Modern College of Pharmacy, Pune, and Gauhati University, this open-source R-based tool—enhanced with AI/ML features—efficiently extracts PUBCHEM IDs and SMILES strings from molecular names, making it a powerful and time-saving resource for beginners and researchers in computational biology and computational chemistry.

The Department of Political Science, Tripura University, is going to organize the Constitution Day Celebrations on 26th November 2025, from 11:00 AM onwards, to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India.
Hon’ble Justice Arindam Lodh, Former Judge, High Court of Tripura, and Chairman, Tripura Human Rights Commission, shall grace the occasion as the Chief Guest and deliver a lecture on “Constitutional Morality in the Perspective of Indian Constitution.”
The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Shyamal Das, Tripura University has kindly consented to preside over the programme.

The Department of Archaeology and Ancient Indian Culture held a public outreach programme on 25th November at the Pilak Heritage Site, South Tripura. Over 250 participants, including school students and scholars, joined the event.

Jyotshna Rani Khundrakpam spoke on Pilak’s cultural significance, while Dr Palas Kumar Saha discussed conservation challenges and UNESCO practices. Local school teacher Tapan Kumar Das thanked the University for bringing heritage awareness to rural students.

Students also took part in a guided site walkthrough and ended the day with a pledge on heritage protection.
