It is surrounded by some of the most elite national institutions like ATIRA, IIM, ISRO, PRL, etc. The institute was established in 1948 with a donation of Rs. 25 lacs and 31.2 hectares of land by the textile magnate Sheth Shri Kasturbhai Lalbhai, hence the college was named Lalbhai Dalpatbhai College of En

gineering. At present institute runs 14 undergraduate, 17-post graduate and 4 part-time programs. The institute is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University and administrated by Department of Technical education, Gujarat State. Apart from all the main stream engineering courses, it facilitates students with niche courses like engineering in textile, environment, rubber, plastic, bio-medical, etc. L.D.C.E campus’ architecture is one of its kinds, having a perfect mix of nature and modern department buildings. The facilities provided within the campus are laboratories, gymkhana, canteen, well-ventilated classrooms, in-campus hostel for boys as well as girls, badminton and lawn tennis courts, cricket ground and much more. L.D.C.E has constantly delivered quality engineers to the world. It has had record-setting and record-breaking placement seasons year after year. L.D.C.E has been in the newspaper headlines for this and many more achievements at state, national as well as international level. 🌱 Growing a Greener Tomorrow 🌱

On the occasion of World Environment Day, the ISHRAE LDCE Student Chapter organized a Tree Plantation Drive across the LDCE campus, planting 200+ trees to promote environmental sustainability and a greener future.

The event was graced by the presence of our respected Principal Sir, whose participation encouraged students to take meaningful steps towards environmental responsibility.

The program also featured the 1 Degree Oath Ceremony, where participants pledged their commitment to climate action and sustainable living.

Together, every tree planted today is a step towards a healthier and more sustainable tomorrow. 🌍💚

Team VisionX secured 🥈 1st Runner Up at तर्कShaastra 2k26, a 24-hour hackathon organized during Lakshya 2.0 – TechFest LDCE.

The team developed an innovative solution focused on Tourism & Crowd Management / Smart Mobility & Infrastructure, designed to predict stampede risks in major Gujarat pilgrimage corridors including Ambaji, Dwarka, Somnath, and Pavagadh. Their system uses simulated crowd flow, transport arrival bursts, and corridor width data to generate real-time pressure analysis and early risk alerts for authorities.

This achievement reflects the spirit of innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving under pressure. 👏

An industrial exposure visit for the students of the Plastic Technology Department, LDCE, was organized by BIS-Ahmedabad at Dutron Plastics Pvt. Ltd. and Dutron Polymer, Kheda on 21st April 2026.

Students of Semester 4 and Semester 6, along with faculty members Prof. Kintu Jain, Prof. Hetal Shah, and Prof. Stuti Shah, explored modern manufacturing techniques and quality testing procedures during the visit.
