L. M. College of Pharmacy is proud to announce that Dr. Chirag Patel has received the LMCP Best Research Paper Award 2025.
His research article, “Neuroprotective Effects of a 3-Amino Quinazoline Derivative via Keap1–Nrf2 Pathway Activation in an ICV-STZ-Induced Rat Model of Sporadic Alzheimer’s Disease,” has been published in ACS Chemical Neuroscience (Q1, IF: 3.9).
The study demonstrates promising neuroprotective effects of a novel compound (LMDP10) in Alzheimer’s disease through activation of the Keap1–Nrf2 pathway. The work was carried out as part of M.Pharm dissertation research work of student Pranav Mehta.
Congratulations to Dr. Chirag Patel and all co-authors on this proud achievement and best wishes for continued success. This award carries a cash prize of Rs. 11,000/- and citation.

L. M. College of Pharmacy conducted a ‘Field Visit’ along with a ‘First Aid Training Session’ at the Indian Red Cross Society, Gujarat State Branch, Ahmedabad, for its First Year D. Pharm. students on 17th April, 2026. Organized under the Social Pharmacy curriculum, the visit aimed to provide practical exposure to community healthcare services. Students explored key facilities including the Thalassemia testing laboratory, Physiotherapy Unit, Artificial Limb Centre, Disaster Management facility and the Senior Citizen Home ‘Vatsalya’.
Another highlight of the visit was the hands-on training on ‘First Aid: Basics & CPR’, where experts of Indian Red Cross Society equipped our students with the most essential life-saving skill i.e. CPR. The students gained an understanding of social responsibility and emergency preparedness, bridging the gap between theory and practice.

*L. M. College of Pharmacy, Ahmedabad, proudly hosted Pharma Anveshan 2026 on 17th March 2026*.
The event witnessed over 450 delegates from 80 pharmacy colleges across Gujarat , bringing together 55+ industry experts, 15 drug regulators, and 50 principals on a single platform. A total of 185 innovations were showcased, including 25 patent pitches, 50 AI-based videos, 85 research posters, and 25 live startup demonstrations, all evaluated by 21 distinguished industry experts. The inaugural function was graced by Padma Shri Prof. Anil Kumar Gupta as Chief Guest, along with esteemed dignitaries Shri H. L. Rawat (Joint Commissioner, FDCA), Dr. Ketan Patel (Chairman, Troikaa Pharmaceuticals), and Shri Kanubhai Patel (Founder, Amneal Pharmaceuticals). Their inspiring words set the tone for a day of innovation and collaboration.
Key highlights included the Industry-Regulatory-Academia Meet, a Principals' Meeting with PCI members, and exciting competitions across six categories. 17 winners and runners-up were felicitated with prizes, recognizing their outstanding contributions to pharmaceutical innovation. The event was organized by *L. M. College of Pharmacy with support from the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI)* , in partnership with GTU School of Pharmacy, B K Mody Govt. Pharmacy College, CHARUSAT, Parul University, Nirma University, Ganpat University, and knowledge partners IDMA-GSB and IPA-GSB.

Institution's Innovation Council of L. M. College of Pharmacy, Ahmedabad proudly arranged the MIC session on Post Budget Webinar 2026–27, Education, Skills & University Townships towards Viksit Bharat @2047 for its students and faculties. The webinar was about strengthening the education–employment ecosystem, expanding India’s global services footprint, and fostering the Orange Economy. It focussed on gender inclusion in STEM, frontier science infrastructure, and disability-inclusive skilling.
Aligned with the vision of Narendra Modi, the session aimed to bring together policymakers, industry leaders, academia, and stakeholders to advance reforms under the principle of Minimum Government, Maximum Governance.
