Our student, Mr. Dishank Patel (23MPL004), and faculty, Prof. Jigna Shah, have been conferred the “Dr. P. D. Patil National Level Award 2025” for securing “First Position in M. Pharm (Pharmacology)” for the Best Thesis in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Their thesis, “Investigation of Neuroprotective Potential of Selected Drugs Mediated by PI3K/AKT and NLRP3 Signalling Cascade in Parkinson’s Disease,” was recognized at Dnyaan Prasad Global University (DPGU), School of Pharmacy and Research, Pune.

Pharm.D is a professional programme designed for students who aspire to work closely with doctors, patients, hospitals, and healthcare systems.

📢 Career Guidance Seminar on “Career Prospects in Pharmacy” at Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University

The Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University successfully organized a Career Guidance Seminar on Career Prospects in Pharmacy on May 8, 2026, to help students and parents understand the diverse opportunities available in the pharmacy profession after 12th standard.

Prof. Gopal Natesan, Director, Institute of Pharmacy, shared valuable insights into the expanding career opportunities in pharmacy, including research, clinical practice, regulatory affairs, and the global pharmaceutical industry.

Specialized sessions for B.Pharm and Pharm.D aspirants were conducted by the Programme coordinators Dr. Mayur Patel and Dr. Sh*tal Panchal, providing guidance on academic pathways, career options, and industry expectations.

Dr. Mehul Naik, Director, Institute of International Studies, introduced the 2+4 PharmD International Program and highlighted international education and career opportunities.

A good number of students and parents attended the seminar and actively participated in one-to-one discussions with the experts. The session was highly interactive and helped clarify students’ questions regarding higher education, career opportunities, placements, and global pathways in pharmacy.

The event was successfully coordinated by Dr. Bhagawati Saxena, reflecting Nirma University’s commitment to shaping future-ready pharmacy professionals.

Expert Lecture | Stress Management for Enhancing Academic Performance and Well-being
The Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University organized an insightful expert lecture on “Stress Management for Enhancing Academic Performance and Well-being” on 01 May 2026 under the initiative of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC-I).
The session was delivered by Sudha Shah, Founder of Synergize Skill, Ahmedabad. She shared practical strategies for managing academic and professional stress, introducing the ABC of Stress Management-Awareness, Balance, and Control. She also explained the Circle of Control, Influence, and Concern, guiding participants to focus on actionable areas and reduce stress effectively.
The interactive “Ribbon of Life” activity encouraged reflection on priorities and work-life balance. The session, designed for faculty members and research scholars, provided valuable tools to enhance productivity and overall well-being.
👩‍🏫 Around 40 Faculty members and PhD research scholars actively participated in the session and benefited from the expert insights.
