🌱 Activity No. 6 – Waste Management Initiative ♻️

As part of the Bharat Environment Program 2026 (Earth Week: 22–30 April), the Department of Civil Engineering at Takshashila Institute of Engineering and Technology, Darapur successfully conducted a Waste Management Program on 24 April 2026.

🌿 The activity focused on sustainable waste handling through the use of a Compost Pit within the campus, converting biodegradable waste into valuable organic manure.

🔹 Objectives of the Initiative:
✔️ Promote eco-friendly and sustainable waste management practices
✔️ Reduce waste sent to landfills
✔️ Convert organic waste into nutrient-rich compost
✔️ Improve soil fertility and structure
✔️ Minimize environmental pollution
