Meet the team that built a robotic arm — from scratch, in college.

Shivam Bujji, Pranav Hastak, Nathan Lobo & Ashwin Anchekar, second-year Ecomp students at AIEM, built a Wi-Fi & Bluetooth-controlled robotic arm that can pick, place, and operate in environments too dangerous for humans.
Think sewage cleaning. Toxic industrial zones. Places where people lose their lives doing jobs a robot could do instead.
And they're just getting started. AI integration and record-and-replay control are already on their roadmap.

Part 2 of our Student Project Showcase. Two teams. Two builds. One thing in common is the drive to engineer something that matters.

International Yoga Day was celebrated at AIEM on 20th June 2026 in the College Seminar Hall.

A yoga session was conducted by Yoga Instructor Ms. Anishka Kachare, highlighting the importance of yoga for physical and mental well-being. A total of 12 staff members actively participated in the session and enthusiastically performed various yoga practices. The event was successfully organized and promoted health, mindfulness, and a spirit of togetherness among the participants.

You say it. You move it. It follows.
The students of Second Year ECOMP from AIEM with the Gesture and Voice-Controlled Multimodal Robotic Vehicle - Chinmayee Kelkar, Maitreyi Naik, Shuban Patil, and Veer Kambli.

Their goal is to create machines for the elderly, helping them in their day-to-day tasks like bringing medicines, moving from place to place and responding to simple commands.

This is Project 1 of 2 from our recent student project showcase. This is what engineering with purpose looks like. This is AIEM.
