Earlier, the students presented a welcome song following which dignitaries were felicitated by the officials and teachers of RIST.

Addressing the gathering, Mahbubul Hoque, Chairman ERDF & Chancellor, USTM, said that all educational institutions under ERDF are being geared up to emerge as national level institutions by 2025 and as international destinations by 2030. The present facilities in the complex are being developed and improved in such a way that there will be no parallels in any institute of the North East in the coming years. Brig (retd) Ranjit Borthakur SM, Director USTM & Adviser ERDF, assured the students that no stones will be left unturned to make them the most competitive youngsters of the region through vigorous core and skills training.
