Congratulations to the BITM Mechanical students for making it to the top 15 finalists in the India Design Week challenge IDW2026 held Coimbatore on 26th and 27th March 2026 - 24hr hackathon! 🎉

The students were guided by Dr. Pavan Kumar B K and Dr. Shivaramakrishna, with support from the HoD, Principal, and BITM management. This achievement showcases the students' innovative skills and dedication to design excellence.

India Design Week is a prominent event that brings together design enthusiasts, industry experts, and students to showcase their work. Being among the top 15 finalists is a significant accomplishment.

The students of Civil Engineering visited the ongoing Sudha Cross Flyover (ROB) construction site in Ballari, a project executed by the National Highways Authority of India. The visit provided valuable practical exposure to various stages of flyover construction, including foundation works, pier construction, and girder launching.

The interaction at the site helped students understand the construction process, technical aspects, and safety practices followed in real-time infrastructure projects, thereby bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and field application.
