The Department of Management Studies was started in the year 1992, to promote quality education and research in management. The course is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. It is recognized by the Government of Karnataka and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. It is also a recognized Research Centre under VTU. The program focuses on holistic development of students in addition

to instilling excellent managerial skills and leadership qualities, which are essential to succeed in a globalized economy. Apart from the regular classes, the department imparts knowledge through Guest Lectures, Extension Lectures, Industrial Visits & Meet the CEO series. The students also get an experience in organizing a Management Event through ‘QUEST’ which is an inter-collegiate event organized by the department. The International Conference organized by the department gives the students an opportunity to do research & publish papers.

The institution places on record its sincere appreciation for Prof. Sridhar H R, who concludes his association with the College on 31 December 2025, after 15+ years of committed service as an Assistant Professor.

During his tenure, Prof. Sridhar H.R. contributed consistently to teaching, student development, and departmental functioning.

He also played a significant role in co-curricular and academic initiatives, particularly in organizing inter-collegiate management fest - QUEST, which enhanced student engagement and institutional outreach.

The department is organizing a 3 day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Research Methodology and Data Analysis using JAMOVI” from December 4th to 6th, 2025 (Offline), at the BMSCE Campus, Basavanagudi, Big Bull Temple Road, Bengaluru.

This FDP offers hands-on experience in:
• Descriptive and inferential statistics
• Reliability and normality analysis
• Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis (EFA & CFA)
• Structural Equation Modelling (SEM)
• Mediation and moderation analysis
• Data management, cleaning, transformation, and visualization
• Interpretation and reporting of results aligned with Scopus/WoS journal standards
